CORE technology
The Client OLAP Reporting Environment, or CORE, is included with
Databeacon Open Client. CORE simplifies and accelerates the creation
and design of OLAP cubes, self-serve explorable reports, and no-touch
deployments.
Graphical
Publisher component defines a multidimensional layout or
CORE cube profile
Maps data source
to hierarchical structures of categories and measures according to the
analytical needs of the user(s)
Source Data Wizard
and Query Editor access data in standard RDBMS via ODBC
or JDBC, text files, URL or executable output, enabling speedy
development of profile definitions
Grouping, binning,
decoding and calculations extend the value of current
data assets to provide business views of transactional data
Interactive
development environment allows developers to iteratively
design, build and test solutions; enabling fast deployment of quality
applications
Builder component
extracts and transforms data according to a CORE cube profile and
builds a CORE cube
Rapid build rate
of 10,000 to 25,000 rows/sec encourages adhoc deployments of real-time
data as personalized explorable reports, giving users immediate insight
into their business
Compression
reduces megabytes of data into easily deployed small-footprint files on
the Web server
Parameterization
allows a single design to be re-used with different data sources, on
different platforms, with different subsets of data
Programmatic control
allows developers to deploy dynamic solutions, delivering real-time
results in a true "customer-of-one" fashion
Web server
no-touch deployment means users access CORE cubes and
explorable reports by simply clicking on a link
Explorable reports
allow users, without need of training, to interactively and graphically
analyze data that might otherwise take multiple spreadsheets or fill
hundreds of pages in a traditional static report
Scheduled processes
deliver daily, weekly or monthly reports to enrich performance
management in the organization
Dynamic processes
allow developers to control data selection, interface capabilities,
report selection, access and more
High-speed
CORE engine powers Databeacon viewers, harnessing the
capabilities of the desktop PC while freeing the user from slow
response due to server contention
Java-based
viewers allow report authors to reach their user audience everywhere
Report Management
Services allow users to create and modify their own
explorable reports, and collaborate with others
